`An Overview of Chemistry IIIA
This course is the next level up from Chemistry IIA & IIB. The course involves a review of Chemistry II topics since many of the students took it two years prior. The topics covered are Thermochemistry, Electronic Structure of the Atom, Bonding and Molecular Geometry.
This is an area of chemistry that involves the study of energy and its transformations in chemical reactions. Heat is a part of all chemical reactions, even the cold ones!
Electronic Structure of Atoms
OK, everyone (nearly) knows that atoms are composed of a nucleus with protons, neutrons and electrons. There is a lot more going on with the atom and this involves the little, itty bitty electrons and their behavior. This leads to Quantum Theory which is NOT just science fiction, but science reality!

Molecules are a fundamental part of all areas of chemistry. This section deals with the how and why of their formation. In this cartoon, the girls and boys are attracted to one another. This represents an ionic bond.
I know everyone loves Geometry, proofs and all! Well, just like with the invention of the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup, when you combine two good things it just makes for one great thing! No proofs here, sorry.
